Next Class July 14th!

If you are in the Gastonia, NC area and want to attain your Concealed Handgun Permit, DoubleTap Concealed is now offering great introductory rates on NC Concealed Handgun classes – they are fully trained and authorized by the NC Justice Department, and are also authorized to teach several NRA classes including the NRA Basic Pistol Course.

DoubleTap offers a relaxed, stress free learning zone, and respects all of their customers. The first class is on July 14, 2012, but they will also be offering female only classes and split day classes are in the works (classes must last a minimum of eight hours, as mandated by NC law), but we at DoubleTap Concealed know that some people just can’t spend a whole weekend day to get this important certification. As an introductory rate, DoubleTap Concealed is offering the Concealed Handgun Certification classes for only $60.00 – at the end of this class, you will have an in depth understanding of the law as well a an expanded understanding of basic handgun safety, as well as being more familiar with handguns in general – you will also receive your certification to take to your local county sheriff to receive your NC concealed carry handgun permit.

DoubleTap Concealed Opening Thoughts

The idea that firearms are sometimes necessary is as old as our nation itself, and the idea that a responsible man (or woman) should possess firearms is written into the founding documents of our nation, right alongside every major freedom what we possess – the freedom of speech, of religion, of the right to be equal under the law. And the freedom to possess firearms.

It is the second amendment, and despite some peoples attempts to qualify whether it actually meant an individual’s right to possess firearms, even the Supreme Court now recognizes that it does – a closer examination will study this further in depth, but for now I will let the words speak for themselves:

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Most states have also passed laws allowing responsible, well trained people to carry concealed firearms – each state has different specific rules, though, and NC is no different. All NC Concealed Handgun Classes are ‘equal’ – they all contain the same curriculum, and they all must last the same amount of time, but here at DoubleTap Concealed we try to go out of our way to make sure that our students have a full understanding of not only the rules and regulations but the responsibilities of this important aspect of the ownership of firearms.
